Bedrock vocabulary is weekly visually based vocabulary for deaf and hard of hearing students created by Kristin A. Di Perri. Deaf children need more opportunities to practice vocabulary. These worksheets will help your students practice a week's worth of words through BINGO activities with a winter theme.
Research is showing that fingerspelling can be used as a tool when teaching phonological awareness to D/HH students. With fingerspelling students can understand the printed word and also see patterns in words. Fingerspelling also helps D/HH students decode words and builds a direct relationship between ASL and printed English.
